No speed and cadence
- Check if the electronic part of the brake is connected with the midpart. If not, push the electronic back by hand (see picture below)
- Check via the Tacx Utility app if the latest firmware is installed
When I turn on the brake it will show a red light or no lights
This means there is a hardware fault with the brake unit. With the Vortex Smart you can try to run the Tacx Utility app and see of it connects. If it does use the UPDATE FIRMWARE process. If this option does not work, make a picture of the dashboard and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to do with a solid Amber/Orange light
The brake makes a lot of noise
- Check to see if the metal roller contains rubber residue. Rubber particles make the tire bumpy and noisy. Always keep the metal roller clean. You can clean the roller with White Spirit or Vinegar.
- Disengage the tyre from the brake unit. Push your thumb hard against the metal band of the metal roller. If you hear a click or notice that the metal band is loose, you will need to contact the (web) shop where you purchased the trainer (this indicates that the metal roller is loose and is touching the back of the plastic casing). The midpart needs to be replaced
Disconnect from the mains
We advise you to disconnect the power from the mains, when you are done with training.
