The on/off switch stays out
Turn on the brake unit, and confirm that the red powerlight is on.
If the brake will not switch on, then there may be a hardware failure. You will need to contact the (online) dealer where you’ve purchased the unit from to follow the warranty procedure.
There is no cadence or resistance
Please check if all the hardware parts are correctly placed. Below issue causes this problem (electronic part is not well connected). Please turn the brake off.
Push the electronics back on the midpart, Then take out the bike from the trainer.
Genius/Ironman Smart edition
Download the Tacx Utility app and select ALIGN. The tyre should not be connected to the trainer (rol).
Genius/Ironman non Smart (ANT+ only)
Customers not having a Smart trainer, can also use the following procedure. Windows PC and ANT+ antenna are required.
- please take the bike from the trainer
- install this file http://tacxdata.com/files/support/GeniusUpdateInstaller_v102.exe
- follow the instructions when running it. The serialnumber of the brake is below the on/off switch
- after update turn off the brake for 5 minutes (also unplug the powercable)
- then reconnect
After the update and alignment, please turn the brake off for 2 minutes. Then turn everything on again.
No LED lights on the unit
There is a hardware problem detected. Please contact the (online) dealer to get your trainer repaired.
If the comes fluid or have seen smoke from the electronic unit, then there is a problem on one of the electronic components (Eelco problem). Please contact your dealer/onlineshop where you have purchased the trainer. The electronic part needs to be exchanged.
