The issue created while cycling on a wheel on trainer is caused by all the moving and rotating parts. The faster is goes, the more sound it creates. There are a few key factors that play a role in this.
No cadence or resistance
Please check if all the hardware parts are correctly placed. Below issue causes this problem (electronic part is not well connected). Please turn off the brake
Push the electronics back on the midpart, then take out the bike from the trainer and close TTS. Run this program:
turn off the brake for 2 minutes after the update.
When you have a Genius Smart, then please install Tacx Utility App on your Android / iOS device, connect the trainer to the App and run the Alignment.
If the comes fluid or have seen smoke from the electronic unit, then there is a problem on one of the electronic components (Eelco could be the issue). Please contact your dealer/onlineshop where you have purchased the trainer. The electronic part needs to be exchanged.
In case of clicking sound on the Genius, it means that the metal roll has come loose from the softgel.
When the product is still in warranty, we advise to contact your dealer for the repair process.
In case of out of warranty, you can add power glue between the holes mentioned in this picture.
Slip will be caused due the wrong setup. Make sure the trainer is in correct position, see this video:
Also clean the role of the brake and trainer tyre with white spirit or Vinegar and check your wheel pressure, this needs to be 110 psi (8 bar).
When your trainer tyre is older than one year, then we have to advise to order a new tyre. The tyre can dry out and then this will cause slip.
