Tacx Desktop app is unable to locate my trainer via ANT+
Tacx Desktop app works only via Bluetooth 4.0.
Does my computer use Bluetooth 4.0?
You can see which Bluetooth version your system uses by looking at your LMP number.
Please follow the steps below to check this out:
- Use Windows search and go to device manager
- Go to the Bluetooth page and select your Bluetooth connection or dongle
- Right click on your Bluetooth adapter and select 'properties'
- Now go to the 'Advanced' tab, here you will see your Link Manager Protocol (LMP) number
- When this starts with a 6 or higher, then you will have Bluetooth 4.0
Tacx Desktop app is unable to locate my trainer and I'm using Bluetooth 4.0
We suspect that your Smart trainer is connected to your PC Bluetooth network. This causes that the smart trainer does not appear in Tacx Desktop app or only shows the sensors. Please check this document for troubleshooting options.
My heart rate belt does not show in the device screen?
Make sure that your heart rate belt is not connected with any other devices or software. If your heart rate belt keeps loosing the connection then we suspect the signal is not strong enough. Replacing the battery should resolve this issue.

What do the different icons mean?
The trainer is not connected with the Tacx Desktop app.
The trainer is properly connected with the Tacx Desktop app.
The heart rate sensor or speed/cadence sensor is connected with the Tacx Desktop app. If your trainer is showing this icon then it will be unable to adjust the resistance during a ride. This could mean that your trainer is still connected with a different software program or device. A solution for this can be found in our Bluetooth solutions document.
